Choose a chess time control

Start with a quick preset, or configure different opening times for White and Black. Set a per-move bonus, then choose Fischer increment, Bronstein delay, US simple delay, hourglass or no bonus.

What does each setting mean?

Fischer adds seconds after a move. US delay gives each move a grace period before counting down. Bronstein refunds used seconds up to the delay cap. Hourglass transfers time between the players. The complete chess timing guide gives examples and comparisons.

Play with large clock controls

Open the two-player chess clock, tap the clock after moving, pause when needed and use keyboard shortcuts on desktop. Additional stage time and manual adjustments are available for custom games.
